The hot news in the field of technical regulation of the food industry was the adoption at the end of 2021 of technical regulations TR EEC 051/2021 "On the safety of poultry meat and poultry products".

Technical regulation shall enter into force on January 1, 2023, with the exception of prospective provisions deferred until the development of appropriate standards for methods of control and the inclusion of these standards in the list of standards.

Technical regulations complete a set of specialized technical regulations that define mandatory requirements for food products of animal origin (meat, milk, fish, poultry).

This Regulation applies to the activities of the assets of Servolux Group engaged in the growing, slaughtering, processing, storage, transportation and sale of poultry, poultry meat and poultry products.

For the successful implementation of the requirements of the new technical regulations, the Quality Service SZAO Servolux developed plans for the implementation of TR EEC 051/2021 at the production plants and identified the stages of transition.

At the moment assessments of production facilities of Belmit branch, CJSC Servolux Agro, OJSC Smolevichi Broiler have already been carried out.

Evaluations were carried out for compliance with the requirements of technical regulations to identify bottlenecks and timely update documentation, production and storage processes, as well as to confirm product compliance.

Consultations with competent authorities in terms of product testing and accreditation of laboratories to confirm the compliance of manufactured products with the requirements of TR EEC 051/2021 are carried out on an ongoing basis.

To develop and obtain the necessary competencies to meet the requirements of TR EAEU 051/2021, some specialists of the production sites have already been trained at the Gorbatov Institute, Moscow.
Also, training was conducted at BelGISS, Minsk, which is the developer and participant in the development of this regulation.

The new terminology set forth in the regulations obligates us to comply and state correct and reliable information for the consumer.

Analysis of nomenclature, production and sales volumes - all these processes are involved in the project to implement the technical regulation for poultry meat.

In this regard, requests have been sent to the developer of the technical regulation to clarify the new terms and concepts established in the regulation.

The scale of measures affects the entire cycle from growing to the sale of finished products to the consumer, including packaging materials, transportation and testing.
Thus, the new regulation affects the market as a whole - absolutely all market participants will be involved in the implementation of the requirements of the regulations for poultry meat.

The entire set of requirements of the regulations is aimed at product safety: strict standards for the safety indicators of raw materials, processes and products are defined.
This applies not only to producers and retailers, but also to standardization organizations, and laboratories, and logistics companies, which guarantees the quality of products and the protection of the rights of the end consumer.
